Hello! Welcome back to my blog. In this post I thought I’d talk about what I’ve been up to in my studio at university and my current project. I am currently in my final year at university and am preparing a portfolio for our student exhibition. I am planning on stretching my own canvases for my final pieces which will be displayed in the exhibition. Although, at the moment I am working on preliminary paintings in preparation for my final works which I thought I would share with you.
The pieces I am painting are all Welsh landscapes. I love reading Welsh folk tales and learning about the history of my country, therefore I decided to incorporate this into my work and paint landscapes which have a particular historical significance to Wales or some folklore surrounding the area. I am extremely excited about this project as I can combine my love of my country and my interest in history and storytelling with my painting.
